JUNE 2010: CAROLINA BEACH, NC
This gull flew by me on a pier (laughing all the way) as I snapped about a dozen shots in rapid succession.  This was the best image -- freezing the wings just before they flapped downward.  The "laughing gull's" call actually sounds like laughing.
