EXPOSE YOURSELF TO ART

(Wilmington, NC) -- Following in the footsteps of some brave British ladies in 1999, members of the Wilmington Art Association appear in various stages of undress in the W.A.A.'s 2011 "Expose Yourself to Art" calendar. The well-known calendar produced over ten years ago by the ladies from Yorkshire inspired the hit movie "Calendar Girls" starring Helen Mirren. And while the W.A.A. artists have no plans for a movie, they can be seen -- like their British counterparts -- posing "discreetly in the nude."

A fund-raising project of the Wilmington Art Association. Proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be used to support the community outreach efforts of the W.A.A. These programs support the arts in local schools and advance visual arts education in the Cape Fear area.
